Speaking the vernacular.

I talk alot about speaking languages because I see that Africans are "losing" a big part of their culture in a sense when they don't speak their language. Like I've always said speaking your language is a another level of communication that others who aren't part of the speakers can understand. Speaking your native tongue is NOT backward and does NOT show that you are uncivilized!!! If anything it shows that you can THINK in another way/form...unknow to the simpleton language of english. For those that speak a different language, it feels like fininding a long lost friend why you find someone who spreaks the same language, it is unifying way of thinking. So people speak your language...english is overrated.

Choice is an ILLUSION

Disney, MTV, BET...I'v just watched a video by maipai101 on materialism and this only reaffirmed the belief that ULTRA SUPER SUPREME MATERIALISM has taken oven the TELL-THEIR-VISION completely. It is worse that it has EVER been in my 20 or so years of tv watching tv. America and north america is one big corporation and worse...the conglomarates are MERGING so it is becoming more like a dictatorship...you have an ILLUSION you can CHOSE what company you are buying from etc but turns out most are partner companies anyways so it is seems like you get everything from the same source anyways. Viacom owns BET, MTV, DISNEY...that alone shows ALOT the media is one of the great "mind control" mecanisms.

Also, yesterday I was watching "What not to wear" on TLC and well...they tell you how to dress indirectly Stacy and Clinton were talking the usual "dress for your body type lingo". This thing we call tv is truely poison, but IS a necessary evil. Although I'm against most things owned by mass media (YT is the exception...for now, but they are also practicing view count control due to pressure by universial records and major music labels who control the ownership of music) essentially because it is all the same MIND-CONTROL techniques and the essential creation of "us" vs "them" (whoever they want to demonize these days). I mean look at CNN, FOX and even BBC...it essentiall gives a one-sided, THINK TANK... they ALL present SURFACE "facts" and promotes a false sense of "objectivity" (as if one can truely be objective!!!). I never understood why so many people think CNN is sooo much better than FOX lol IT ISN'T...It is the same only well more left wing leaning...the news is more interested in sentasionalism that the REAL truth. It is IMPORTANT to watch TV sometimes tho...it gives INCITE to how the ELITES think and promote our thinking but please don't take it as absolute truth...and knowledge comes more from JUST videos and television...knowledge comes from the quest to understand what is happening and why the world is a great big FAT mess that it is today.

What brand of clothing do you wear?

That question has been one often posed by other black people to me, I always wondered why SOME africans and black people in general seem to CARE so much about clothing brands and all. I personally think it is has to do with BRAINWASHING that corporations do to ingrain the "importance" of logo's as a status symbol. It seems people truely believe that YOU ARE WHAT YOU WEAR...meaning that individuals think that if they have new sneakers or what not that this "magically" makes them a "good" person or if they buy a new dress somehow people will not notice their bitchiness. People, PLEASE WAKE UP from this DREAM. Regardless of the race/gender...Stop being so shallow-minded and allowing corporations to dictate ENTIRELY the person they think you are and SHOULD be. The sense of UNIQUENESS is also FALSE because MOST things are produced in MASS, so listen sister/brother that dress/those shoes are not "original" and "one of a kind"....people are being sold a FALSE notion of psuedoindividuality that doesn't EXIST. I'm not saying it is wrong to buy new clothing etc I, myself do so on OCCASION but stop believing this somehow improves your personality, really it doesn't.

Blacker than black...shakazulu mentality

I've come across SEVERAL black individuals that have expressed a belief that they are truely "free from the system of white supremacy" which I maintain STILL exists (racism/white supremacy).
If they were truely this so why do they still use the THINKINGS of white supremacy to try and reach their goals and objectives? For instance, look at the english language...that IS white supremacy language at its finest most obvious form...why don't they create another language because they only reinforce the system with the use of WS lingo...for instance look at the word "black" and "white" even "cracker" where they not words CREATED by called white people to differenciate and seperate themselves from.
If you were really not enslaved to the system and not "white-washed" how can you fight for "black nationalism?". Why embrace a term used by white ppl to state that Even the concept of nationalism is and was developped by white people...the existance of "cut boundries" were developped by white people too. I do agree there should be unity of black people but perhaps people in general...but black nationalism isn't the way. It failed in the 60's and fails today for similiar reasons...it is done by the "thinking of white supremacy" that they attack and complain so much about. I agree I do have white-supremacy like thinking at times...at least I'd admit we have ALL been influenced by it...we DO live countries FOUNDED upon such an IDEOLOGY.
I believe the statement holds true "you cannot think outside the system in which you exist". Thus if MOST black nationalists (ANY RACE BASED nationalistic sentiment) TRUELY wanted to GET TRUELY HONESTLY AND SERIOUS they would all go to a REMOTE land and CLIMB A MOUNTAIN somewhere and take nothing with them...no books, no tv, no internet, no frozen foods...none of that. Because I see it AS THE ONLY WAY to accomplish the idea of a black "one nation under a groove". They have to ENTIRELY remove themselves completely if they want to "beat it".
Another problem I have is with black people NOT from African who walk around like they are BLACKER than black. Meaning they believe they are MORE African than African...they over exaggerate and EXTEND what it is being "black" and make themselves the "ambassador" of BLACK PEOPLE INTERNATIONAL. TRUE, many have an ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEDGE OF Afrikan history but no need to have a FALSE SUPERIORITY COMPLEX LOL How can I or anyone respect people with this shakazulu mentality? Africans are and my ancestors were warriors!!! Most AREN'T now. We LIVE in the PRESENT, not the PAST and must UNDERSTAND WHAT IS DONE IS DONE. The past is VERY IMPORTANT for understanding today and the african/afrikan american people but don't dwell on it ALL THE TIME. Also African American should embrace their differences the FACT that you aren't AS connected to the MOTHERLAND as you like to CLAIM to be. That is okay. Why can't they be proud of both cultures in a sense?

Race, racism, white people, black people and the nigger word

www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFI1POM5-rw

I made this video a couple months back and I've gotten highly negative feedback from the video because I believe that black ppl cannot be racist in the way "white ppl" are racist (I termed it RE-ACTIONARY racism). I stand by view that calling a person "a cracker" "a honkey" is name calling and it is rather childish. I also see white supremist comments about black people being a nigger, ape, monkey...doesn't hurt or BOTHER me. This is what that keeps black people "back" in a sense because they let CERTAIN people bully them and ridicule them. I agree with goddessmandestroya she is correct. Everyone should watch her video "nigger".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhNTTI3G-Io
She is highly intelligent and makes excellent points about how we let a word that most people don't even know the history about dictate to us.

Another point:
One thing I hate about YT is that the minute that a minority expresses that racism is a REALITY for them, they get ATTACKED by other individuals and individuals who claim NOT to be racist. Alot of videos on the "nigger" word, on racism have to be disabled because people essentially don't LISTEN at all and type endlessly what they think before watching the whole video. I guess disabling comments entirely is the ONLY way to get ALL people to listen. Also I hold the belief whites cannot "experience" racism ONLY prejudice. A black person doesn't JUST hate white people because it is in their "nature" it is because they use it as a comeback to their own societal prejudices.

Youtube

Of late since a couple of months ago, I recognized that since youtube has "sold out" to big companies (google)...the most famous videos always seem to be commerical dribble about sex (hot for words, athens wins gf) or about gay men (Crocker, whatthebuck, gaygod) and advertisements are popping up everywhere next to those kind of videos. I feel that Youtube is now being erroded by that "mass media mombo jumbo" that has essentially killed everything else. I think also YT is being pressured to aggressively promote what the "mass" media thinks is "cool" and "trendy" such as the iphone phenomenon...I just watched a video of soulja boy called idance. Suprising similarities no? That is only one example. Like Tore815 said "America is one big corporation". True indeed. It was only about time YT "sold out".
